Roma

How Roma plays

Roma has been a staple in Malaysian and Thai online lobbies for years. The theme is the Roman arena: gladiators, chariots and a roaring lion that serves as the game's wild. It uses a conventional reel layout with paylines, so players moving across from classic machines will feel at home immediately.

The free-spins round is what keeps Roma in the popular list. During the bonus, the chosen gladiator symbol can expand to cover a full reel, and several expanded reels together produce the game's largest payouts. The lion wild substitutes for regular symbols in both the base game and free spins.

Roma is a lighter, faster game than the modern pay-anywhere titles, and its medium pace suits shorter mobile sessions. As with every slot, results are random on every spin and past outcomes have no effect on the next one.

Several follow-up versions exist, including Roma Legacy and Roma X, which keep the arena theme and add new features. If you see more than one Roma in a lobby, check the game's information panel to see which version it is and what its bonus round does before you choose a stake.

Before you play

Every round of Roma is independent and the result is decided by the game, not by timing or past outcomes. Set a stake and a session budget first, and read the responsible gaming page for limits and self-exclusion options. This site is for adults aged 18 and over.
